Why is my wax surface uneven or cracked after cooling?Updated 21 hours ago

This usually happens when the wax cools too quickly or was poured at too high a temperature. It can cause the surface to crack, sink, or develop air pockets as it sets.

To help avoid this:

  • Let the wax cool slightly before pouring
  • Try to keep the candle away from drafts or cold surfaces while it's setting, as sudden temperature changes can also affect the finish.

Small cracks or dips in the wax surface are only cosmetic, it will not affect burning. You can also add more melted wax on top to smooth out these imperfections.
